Cast Announced for Dear England 2025

The National Theatre has revealed additional casting for the return of James Graham’s Dear England, the Olivier Award-winning play about Gareth Southgate’s long-term vision for the England men’s football team.

As previously announced, Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody, The Great) will take on the role of Gareth Southgate, following in the footsteps of Joseph Fiennes. He will be joined by Liz White (Life on Mars, Call the Midwife) as Pippa Grange, the sports psychologist who played a crucial role in transforming the team’s mentality.

Alongside Lee and White, returning cast members include:

  • Josh Barrow as Jordan Pickford

  • Gunnar Cauthery as Gary Lineker
