Dear England Announces UK Tour Autumn 2025

The critically acclaimed play Dear England, written by James Graham and directed by Rupert Goold, is set to embark on a major tour this autumn. Following its successful runs at the National Theatre in summer 2023 and a celebrated West End transfer, the production—about Gareth Southgate’s transformative vision for the England men’s football team—returns to audiences nationwide.

A Winning Formula for National Success

James Graham described the tour as “winning the treble” after its successful National and West End runs. Reflecting on the project, Graham said:

“As someone from a community that had limited access to culture growing up, I’m especially aware of how vital it is to share work of such a scale beyond the capital. And as a lifelong theatre and England fan, the chance to tell a story about the beautiful game and through the prism of Gareth Southgate’s transformative term has been a privilege.”

This production, celebrated for its incredible movement, stirring music, and dynamic staging, is now poised to reach even more theatre fans across the country.
