Taio Lawson Appointed as New Artistic Director of the Bush Theatre
Bush Theatre has announced that Taio Lawson will be its new artistic director and co-CEO, taking up the position in summer 2025. Lawson succeeds Lynette Linton, who departs in March 2025 after leading the theatre since 2019. His first season will launch in early 2026, working alongside executive director and co-CEO Mimi Findlay.
A New Era for Bush Theatre
Lawson brings a wealth of experience to the Bush Theatre, having held key roles across the UK theatre scene. He is currently the Genesis Fellow and associate director at the Young Vic, where he has worked on acclaimed productions. His previous roles include:

Resident director at Sheffield Theatres, the Almeida, and Hamilton (West End)
As an advocate for diversity and accessibility in theatre, Lawson also serves as a trustee for Parents and Carers in the Performing Arts (PiPA), which supports professionals balancing creative work with caregiving responsibilities.
