Wicked Announces New West End Casting for 2025

Fresh Leads Take Center Stage

From 25 March 2025, Wicked will welcome new principal cast members to its acclaimed West End production:

  • Emma Kingston as Elphaba

  • Zizi Strallen as Glinda

  • Carl Man as Fiyero (transitioning from the touring production)

Joining them are:

  • Sarah Ingram as Madame Morrible

  • Michael Matus as The Wizard

  • Hannah Qureshi as Nessarose

  • David McKechnie as Doctor Dillamond

  • Ross Carpenter as Boq

Additionally:

  • Laura Emmitt will return as Alternate Elphaba

  • Lydia Gerrard joins as Standby Glinda

Ensemble and Swings

The new company will include:

  • Performers such as Iroy Abesamis, Zac Adlam, Steph Asamoah, and Rory Maguire

  • Understudies including Jemma Revell (Elphaba and Nessarose), Charlotte Anne Steen (Elphaba), Aimee Hodnett (Glinda), and Josh Lovell (Fiyero)

Creative Team

The award-winning production continues with its original creative team:

  • Director: Joe Mantello

  • Musical Staging: Wayne Cilento

  • Scenic Design: Eugene Lee

  • Costumes: Susan Hilferty

  • Lighting: Kenneth Posner

  • Sound: Tony Meola

  • Music Supervision: Stephen Oremus

Producers Marc Platt, Universal Stage Productions, The Araca Group, Jon B Platt, and David Stone will continue to steer the London production, with Michael McCabe as executive producer.

Current Cast Departure and Performance Schedule

The outgoing cast will take their final bows on 23 March 2025, with the new company taking over just two days later. Tickets for performances into 2026 are now available.

On Screen

Excitement for Wicked remains sky-high after the first part of the movie adaptation, starring Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, premiered on 22 November 2024. The highly anticipated second part is slated for 21 November 2025.
