The Cast
Bryan Cranston stars as Joe Keller, the self-made businessman whose wartime manufacturing success is threatened by a tragic past.
Marianne Jean-Baptiste plays Kate Keller, Joe's wife, who refuses to accept the loss of their son.
Paapa Essiedu takes on the role of Chris Keller, the Keller’s surviving son, who confronts his father’s actions.
About the Production
This new revival marks a reunion between Bryan Cranston and director Ivo van Hove, following their award-winning collaboration on Network in 2017. Van Hove, renowned for his intense and inventive interpretations of classic plays, brings his bold vision to All My Sons, following his previous successful productions of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge and The Crucible.
Cranston expressed his excitement for the project, saying:
"Arthur Miller, Ivo Van Hove, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Paapa Essiedu… If there’s something I know beyond a shadow of doubt, it’s to surround yourself with the most talented people. This group of creative artists has got me so excited to be a part of the All My Sons company."
Ivo van Hove also shared his enthusiasm:
"I’m thrilled to return to the West End and to work again with Bryan. Our previous collaboration was unforgettable, and I’m equally excited to work with Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Paapa Essiedu, who I believe will bring something extraordinary to their roles."
The Play
All My Sons is one of Arthur Miller’s most influential works. Set just after World War II, it follows Joe Keller, a businessman whose wartime success is tainted by a series of tragic events. As Joe's business partner faces criminal charges and his son goes missing, the Kellers’ world begins to unravel. The play explores themes of family, guilt, and the price of success in post-war America.
