Burlesque the Musical to Transfer to the West End This Summer
Burlesque the Musical is set to make its much-anticipated transfer to the West End this summer. Following its successful previews in Manchester and Glasgow, the musical adaptation of the 2010 musical drama film will officially open at the Savoy Theatre on 10 July 2025, running until 6 September 2025.
About Burlesque the Musical
Based on the 2010 film directed by Steve Antin, Burlesque the Musical tells the story of Ali Rose, a small-town girl (played by Christina Aguilera in the film) who moves to Los Angeles and discovers a struggling burlesque lounge owned by Tess (played by Cher). The stage adaptation of the beloved film has been penned by Antin, with music by Christina Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Jess Folley, and Todrick Hall, with additional material by Kate Wetherhead.
