Dazzling New Dark-Comedy Boxed In Launched at the Old Red Lion Theatre
A gripping and thought-provoking dark-comedy titled Boxed In will be making its debut at the Old Red Lion Theatre in London this spring. Written by emerging playwright Rebecca Weston Wright, this new and bold production explores the complexities of mental health and the internal struggles we face when confronting our darkest thoughts.
About Boxed In – An Exploration of Mental Health
Boxed In tells the story of A, a woman stuck in a bleak, cold room, unable to escape the overwhelming grief and self-doubt that suffocates her. In the wake of heartbreak and a soul-crushing job, A must confront her most intrusive thoughts. As she tries to make sense of where her life went wrong, she finds herself sharing her dismal quarters with an unassuming but sinister wooden box. This box, an embodiment of her most painful limiting beliefs, forces her to reckon with the darkness within.
