Fawlty Towers Announces West End Return with New Cast
Fawlty Towers, the iconic stage adaptation of the legendary sitcom, is set to return to the West End for a limited season later this year. Based on the beloved television series created by John Cleese, the production will feature a fresh cast in key roles while retaining its signature mix of slapstick humour and sharp wit. The new run will open at the Apollo Theatre from 24 June to 13 September 2025, ahead of a major UK tour beginning in the autumn.
New Cast for Fawlty Towers
This highly anticipated return to the stage will feature a new ensemble of actors bringing the characters of Basil Fawlty, Sybil, Manuel, and the rest of the memorable group to life.
Danny Bayne will take on the role of Basil Fawlty, following in the footsteps of John Cleese's legendary portrayal. Bayne is known for his theatrical versatility and brings a new interpretation of the iconic role.
Mia Austen will play Sybil Fawlty, bringing her comedic timing and experience to the character of Basil's long-suffering wife.
Hemi Yeroham will step into the shoes of Manuel, the bumbling waiter, while Joanne Clifton will play Polly, Basil’s much-needed assistant. Clifton’s performance will bring an energetic and charming flair to the role.
In addition to the central roles, the production will also feature a talented supporting cast, including Paul Nicholas as the Major, Helen Lederer as Mrs. Richards, and Greg Haiste as Mr. Hutchinson / Wilhelm. Other cast members include Emily Winter as Miss Tibbs, Dawn Buckland as Miss Gatsby, John Hasler as Mr. Thurston / Günter, and Adam Elliott as Mr. Walt, among others.
