The world’s largest dance event, MOVE IT, celebrated its 20th anniversary this weekend at London’s ExCel Centre, bringing together some of the biggest names in dance, theatre, and entertainment for a three-day extravaganza.
The high-energy event featured over 140 exhibitors, 270 dance classes, four stages, and countless opportunities for dancers, teachers, and fans to immerse themselves in the industry.
Diversity Headlines with a Show-Stopping Performance
Britain’s Got Talent and BAFTA-winning Diversity took centre stage, delivering an electrifying ten-minute headline performance on the Main Stage. The dance troupe, led by Ashley Banjo, brought their signature sharp stops, acrobatics, and powerful choreography to a setlist featuring music from Busta Rhymes, Rihanna, and more. Their routine, enhanced by dazzling lighting effects and stunning projections, closed Saturday’s event on a high note.
West End & TV Stars Take Over the Stage
West End star Layton Williams (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Cabaret, Titanique) returned to MOVE IT for another year. Fresh from his Olivier Award nomination, Williams led two sold-out workshops and took time to meet fans in between his performances at the Criterion Theatre.
Love Island’s Molly Marsh, who began her career as a dancer at just five years old, was among the special guests. She greeted fans, announced performers on the Main Stage, and recorded an episode of the MOVE IT podcast, discussing her career in dance and upcoming music projects.
Dance Moms Icons Teach & Judge at MOVE IT
Legendary Dance Moms stars Abby Lee Miller and Gianna Martello were among the event’s most highly anticipated guests. Miller, known for training some of the biggest names in the industry, and Martello, a celebrated choreographer, both taught masterclasses, judged competitions, and engaged with fans throughout the weekend.
