Kyle Birch, a rising star in the world of musical theatre, has passed away at the age of 26. His agents at Russell Smith Associates confirmed the news, stating he died on the evening of Monday, December 2, 2024.
Birch had captivated audiences with his remarkable talent and soul-stirring voice. He spent the summer of 2023 covering and then taking over the lead role of Usher in A Strange Loop at the Barbican Theatre. His other standout performances included roles in The Color Purple (UK tour), Once on This Island at Southwark Playhouse, and I’m Gonna Marry You Tobey Maguire, also staged at Southwark Playhouse earlier this year.
In addition to his stage work, Birch performed in the Halloween 2023 concert of Bat Boy at The London Palladium, further showcasing his vocal prowess and theatrical versatility.
