Barn Theatre Announces Full Casting for Educating Rita Revival

Barn Theatre’s CEO and artistic director, Iwan Lewis, alongside executive director and producer Liam McMullan, have revealed the cast for the upcoming revival of Willy Russell’s classic play, Educating Rita. Directed by Stephen Unwin, this iconic play explores the transformative relationship between Rita, a working-class hairdresser, and Frank, a disillusioned academic.

Educating Rita tells the compelling story of Rita, who embarks on a journey of self-discovery by enrolling in an Open University course in Literature. She quickly encounters Frank, a middle-aged, cynical academic who is tasked with tutoring her. The play delves into themes of class, identity, and personal growth, as Rita and Frank’s unlikely relationship develops over time.

Full Cast for the Barn Theatre Revival

In this highly anticipated revival, Justin Edwards will take on the role of Frank, the disillusioned university tutor, while Ellie Clayton will portray Rita, the vibrant and determined hairdresser striving to better herself through education.
